We have respected the ancient constriction, making a careful restoration with the essence of the place.
The hostel is distributed on the first floor of a stone house, very accessible. All its life revolves around the central courtyard.
We have seven rooms (shared and private), adapting to the needs of each visitor.
The dining room is carved into the rock; it is an old wine cellar, where my grandfather used to make wine and liquors in the past. It is undoubtedly a very pleasant corner, the large wooden beams and the feeling of shelter that it produces when you enter, almost let you smell the still. It is a cool place for hot days and homey on cold days thanks to the warmth provided by the stove.
In the patio we have sun and shade, it is a quiet place sheltered from the street. The best option to rest.

Albergue San Lázaro opened its doors in July 2010, with the illusion of giving life back to the house where I was born and raised: the house of my grandparents.

They, like many other Galicians, had to emigrate to Cuba to carve a better future for themselves. After several years there, they returned to their native Sarria and built this house, 90 years ago.

We take care of every detail, and we try to make you feel as we feel: at home.

Rest is our premise; with the comforts that every pilgrim needs when arriving at their destination.

The spirit of the Camino guides our work and we hope that your stay will help you to disconnect and relax after an intense day on the road.
